Pandas and Mimi and Lisa in Annecy
The International Festival of Animation Films in Annecy (10. - 15. 6. 2013) is one of the most significant events for animation. This year, the festival presents two Slovak titles - Pandas by Matú Vizár and Mimi and LIsa - Twins from the Cards by Katarína Kerekesová.Animation short Pandas by Matú Vizár was premiered in the Cinéfondation section of the prestigious Cannes IFF - the film was submitted by Vizár's film school, FAMU in Prague. Its presence at the festival had a successful result - it was awarded by the 3rd prize. In Annecy, Pandas will compete in the Graduation films in competition section.
The programme of the festival will also include a new childrens' television series by Katarína Kerekesová - Mimi and Lisa: Twins from the Cards, who presented her animation project in Stuttgart. The film will compete in the TV films in competition section.
