Slovak films at festivals in Greece and Germany
At the 55th edition of MFF Thessaloniki (Oct 31 - Nov 9, 2014), the Slovak cinema is represented by the title In Silence (2014) directed by Zdeněk Jiráský in the Main Selection of the festival´s Open Horizons.
Thessaloniki´s Industry programme within Agora Film Market (Nov 1– 8, 2014) includes the co-production forum Crossroads (Nov 4 – 8, 2014). Slovak director Aramisova (know for his film Cagey Tigers / Cannes Cinéfondation 2011) joins the forum with his project of a Czech-Slovak co-production Kids from the East.
The on-line library of Agora offers a selection of current Slovak films, including: In Silence (2014) by Zdeněk Jiráský, Indian Summer (2013) by Gejza Dezorz, The Candidate (2013) by Jonáš Karásek, Step into the Dark (2014) by Miloslav Luther and Slovakia 2.0 (2014) an omnibus film by 10 directors.

Cottbus FF (4. – 9. 11. 2014) is significant for a presentation of Slovak cinema.
In the festival´s 24th edition, two Slovak films are presented: Spektrum section will present omnibus film Slovensko 2.0 (2014) directed by 10 renowned Slovak directors and National Hits section introduces Jonáš Karásek´s The Candidate (2013).
