Art Film Fest to screen dozens of Slovak films
The 18. edition of the Art Film Fest International Film Festival Trenčianske Teplice / Trenčín included dozens of Slovak fiction, documentary and animation films in its program. These short, middle-length and full-length films will be available during June 18 - 27, 2010.
The animation film Bird of Prey by Peter Budinský and the fiction film Thanks, Fine by Mátyás Prikler, recently screened in the Cinéfondation section at Cannes IFF 2010 will be presented in the International Competition of Short Films. The Slovak Season section will present 11 films altogether, in three sub-sections: Full-length Films, Shorts and Special. The new film by Martin Šulík on the Czechoslovak New Wave - 25 from the Sixties or The Czechoslovak New Wave will have its pre-premiere within this section.
An individual section is dedicated to the 20th annivesary of the Film and Television Faculty of VŠMU - The Best of VŠMU, presenting 17 fiction films, 10 documentaries and 14 animation films as the most successful production of the school.
Slovak films will be also presented in the section dedicated to the cinematographer Stanislav Szomolányi and the section presenting the comedies and fairytales of the director Václav Vorlíček.
