Slovak Oscar® nomination to screen at LA
For the fifth time Slovakia participates in the European Film Promotion (EFP) project Screenings of Oscar® Submitted Films during the American Film Market (AFM).
Slovakia is represented by her national Academy nomination, Ivan Ostrochosvký´s film Koza (2015).
EFP Screenings in Los Angeles have taken place annually during the AFM. Films screening under this umbrella have been selected as the national submissions for the Academy Award® for Best Foreign Language Film. Screenings will take place at Wilshire Screening Room, Beverly Hills from October 25 to November 8. Providing intensive and targeted promotion of Oscar® submitted films towards the members of the Academy, EFP supports their visibility in the market among the other numerous nominations.
EFP will present 27 films from the number 81 Oscar® submitted titles this year. Financial support comes from the MEDIA Programme of the European Union and the participating EFP member organisations. Koza (2015) participation is based on Slovak Film Institute membership in EFP (since 2006).
