  Slovak National Day at Summer Film School 2007
33rd edition of SFS Uherske Hradiste will be held from July, 20 to 29, 2007. Slovak cinematography has traditionally been presented at the SFS for 14 years now. During this edition of the event the viewers will have the chance to see 27 films under the terms of the Slovak National Day (24th July). The films will accompany a presentation for the 110th anniversary of business in the present-day Slovakia.

  Slovak scriptwriter Zuzana Liová won the Krzysztof Kieœlowski Award
Zuzana Liová won the Krzysztof Kieœlowski TVP Award 2007 for the Best Eastern and Central European Script. She was awarded for her script The House, a compelling family drama, which participated in the ScripTeast programme, edition 2006/2007.

  New Slovak Film in Cinemas
The new Slovak film Facing the Enemy was premiered in March 2007 in Slovak Cinemas.

  Berlinale 2007 - FIPRESCI prize for Jiří Menzel

Cooproduction Czech - Slovak film I Served the King of England was awarded FIPRESCI prize for the best film in the Competition at 57. Berlinale.
