  The House awarded in Palm Springs
Zuzana Liová's debut The House has recevied the New Voices / New Visions Award at Palm Springs IFF in USA.
  Slovak films in Palm Springs
The prestigious International Film Festival Palm Springs (5. - 16. 1. 2012) started in USA last week. Slovakia will be represented with three titles: the debut The House by Zuzana Liová, the winning film from Karlovy Vary Gypsy by Martin Šulík and the co-production animation combined with live action Alois Nebel by TomᚠLuňák.
  Slovak films awarded in December
Slovak films were successful at the end of the year 2011, as well. The films Gyspy by M. Šulík and the short VoiceS by P. Bebjak have received awards at international festivals.
  Slovak project at the European Short Pitch 2012
European Short Pitch (ESP) is an initiative organized by the Nisi Masa network, aimed at promoting the European coproduction of short films. It combines a scriptwriting workshop in residency, an on-line session and a coproduction forum bringing together scriptwriters and industry professionals from all over Europe. The Slovak participant in the upcoming edition is the short film by Martin Repka Tiger Fight.
  Slovak films awarded at the Animateka festival in Slovenia
Slovak animation films were very successful at the 8th Animateka International Festival of Animation Films (5. - 18. 12. 2011), taking place in Ljubljana and Maribor, Slovenia, during the weekend.
  Slovak Films in Les Arcs, France
The third edition of the festival of European films Festival de Cinéma Européen des Arcs will take place December 10 - 17, 2011 in the ski resort of Bourg-Saint-Maurice / Les Arcs in France. Two Slovak films will be presented at the festival this year - both in its festival programme and its industry programme.
  Slovak films at the Black Nights Tallinn IFF in Estonia
The Black Nights Tallinn International Film Festival is celebrating its 15th edition. Taking place November 16 - 30, 2011 it will also present successful Slovak films both in within the main festival and in the sub-festivals of the event.

Bratislava IFF announced its winners yesterday night at the closing ceremony of the event.
  Slovak films going to Hungary
Three significant events presenting Slovak films will take place in Hungary during November 7 - 13, 2011. The Slovak Film Week will present six Slovak films in Budapest and the traditional Film Seminar for the students of Slovak Language will take place both in Budapest and the Hungarian town Szeged.
