  Slovak films visiting Chicago this spring as well
Slovak films will be available for Chicago this year, as well: traditionally, during March the 15th edition of the European Union Film Festival (2. - 29. 3. 2012) will take place in the Gene Siskel Centre. Slovakia has three titles in the programme of the festival.
  Slovak films at Šeršėliafam International Women Film Festival in Lithuania
The 7th edition of the Šeršėliafam International Women Film Festival in Vilnius, Lithuania is starting today and for the next 11 days will be celebrating womanhood. Slovakia will be represented by three titles.
  Czech Lion nominations announced
Nominations for the Czech national film award Czech Lion, granted by the Czech Film and Television Academy, were announced. Three Slovak co-productions were included in these nominations.
  The Last Bus awarded in Clermont-Ferrand
The 34th edition of the prestigious International Short Film Festival (27. 1. - 4. 2. 2012) awarded the Slovak film The Last Bus by Martin Snopek and Ivana Laučíková.

After a very successful start at festivals in Palm Springs, USA and Trieste, Italy, Slovak films continue their presentation at the Göteborg International Film Festival (27. 1. - 6. 2. 2012) in Sweden.
  The Last Bus in Clermont-Ferrand
Perhaps the most significant event dedicated to short films is starting in Clermont-Ferrand tomorrow. The prestigious International Short Film Festival (27. 1. - 4. 2. 2012) will welcome a Slovak representative, as well.
  The House Receiving Awards
Not only a professional Jury but also viewers appreciate the Slovak-Czech debut by Zuzana Liová The House. After receiving the New Voices / New Visions Award in Palm Springs, USA, the film was granted with the Trieste Award at the Alpe Adria Film Festival in Italy.
  Nicky's Family broadcast at the German ARD
6,6 million viewers were watching the Slovak-Czech docudrama Nicky's Family by Matej Mináč at the German television ARD last week.
  Slovak films heading for Trieste
After the successful start of 2012, Slovak films will be also participating at the 23rd Alpe Adria Film Festival in Trieste (29. - 25. 1. 2012), as well.
