  Slovakia in spotlight of When East Meets West
Slovakia is one of the countries in spotlight of industry platform When East Meets West (January, 20 - 22, 2019). A numerous delegation of Slovak film professionals will be representing the country at the event that is running paralely to 30th Trieste Film Festival (January 18 – 25, 2019). At the same time, the festival will introduce five Slovak films in various sections.
  Slovak films at 20th Bratislava IFF
The 20th edition of Bratislava International Film Festival (November 29 – December 2, 2018) has prepared a selection of contemporary Czech and Slovak Cinema. Most of the selected films were made in Czech-Slovak co-production as a result of the natural continuation of the filmmaking cooperation between the two neighboring countries after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the state whose 100th foundation anniversary we celebrate this year.
  Slovak representation at the 28th Cottbus FF
The 28th edition of Cottbus Film Festival (November 6-11, 2018), focused on Eastern and Central European cinema will introduce Slovak and coproduction films with remarkably high attendance and contemporary films for children.
  Slovak films heading to Havana
The upcoming showcase Jornadas de cine eslovaco (Slovak Film Days)kicking off Tuesday, November 6, in Multicine Infanta, Havana, Cuba, will introduce a selection of five successful Slovak films of the past three years, as well as one archive title from the collection of Slovak National Film Archive to Cuban audiences.
  Ji.hlava 2018 presents Slovak contemporary documentaries
Every year, Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival organisers show a selection of extraordinary creative documentaries, mainly from Central and East Europe. The 22nd edition of the festival, running from October 25 to 30 this year, will introduce six Slovak and co-production documentaries, most of them in their world or international premiere.

Three Slovak and co-production films will vie for the Warsaw Grand Prix at 34th Warsaw Film Festival (October 12 – 21, 2018).
  Brno 16 Welcomes Slovak Shorts
International Short Film FestivalBrno 16 (October 10 – 13, 2018), one of the oldest short film festivals, will present a retrospective of Slovak animation and digitally restored documentaries from the collection of the National Film Archive of Slovak Film Institute (SFI).
  Viktor Kubal Retrospective in Sitges and The Barnabáš Kos Case in Lyon
Digitally restored films from the National Film Archive collection of Slovak Film Institute (SFI) are heading to prestigious film festivals. Retrospective of Viktor Kubal will present in Spanish premiere the works of Slovak director, animator and artist at 51st Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival (October 4 – 14, 2018) while The Case of Barnabáš Kos by Peter Solan will be screened in world premiere at Lumière Festival (October 13 – 21, 2018) in Lyon.
  Slovak Films are Heading to Moscow
Slovak Film Days in Moscow (September 27 – October 3, 2018), the showcase of contemporary Slovak cinema will present seven feature films in seven days. Russian audience of cinema Fitil club will welcome recognized films by Jan Hřebejk, Iveta Grófová, Marko Škop, Rasťo Boroš, Andrea Sedláčková, and Peter Bebjak.
  Chinese Film Festival at Lumière Cinema
Chinese Film Festival (September 20 – 23, 2018) will present contemporary Chinese cinema at Lumière Cinema in Bratislava. The selection of seven films reflects the wide range of genres and the actual social issues of the country as well.
