Companies active in Slovak film industry

Audiovisual Information Centre (AIC) of the Slovak Film Institute – National Cinematographic Centre has been continuously working on the database of Companies and organizations active in the field of Slovak Audiovision and Cinematography for the sixth year now. AIC attempts to map out all relevant entities which take part in the production, distribution, promotion and presentation of films and audiovisual works.

The Directory is divided into the following categories: Production Companies / Cinema Distribution / Video Distribution / Television Companies with Multi-Regional Broadcasting (Selection) / Institutions / Professional and Special Interest Associations / Organisations for the Collective Administration of Copyrights and Related Rights / Schools and Educational Activities / Film Periodicals / Other Companies. The Production Companies category is further divided into Production Companies (companies which continuously deal with the development, production and further distribution of their audiovisual works) and Other Production Companies - Service (companies performing activities aimed especially at rendering organisational, service or post-production services to other entities). The Other Companies category includes entities which could not have been included in any other category.

We would like to thank all those who contacted us after the publishing of information in the Film Yearbook 2007 and on the www.aic.sk website. We appreciate all their help with completing and specifying our database. Keeping the Directory updated is important not only for the entities themselves or the Audiovisual Information Centre, but also for potential foreign partners as it serves as a valuable source of data and contact information which can lead to useful international cooperation.
